Hello, I’m Rachel!
After receiving my BFA in Communication Design in 2018 I spent a few years working as a book designer (moonlighting as an illustrator), before moving to the UK in 2021. There I attended the Cambridge School of Art and completed my Children’s Book Illustration MA in 2023.
I've had the opportunity to collaborate with amazing clients across the book world from publishers like Hachette to book boxes including FairyLoot, Illumicrate, Fae Crate, Bookish Box, and LitJoy Crate, as well as many incredible authors both traditionally and self-published.
I create illustrations for young adult and adult fiction, along with custom typography, merchandise, and more!
I enjoy combining expressive linework, lush textures, and muted color palettes to create images full of moody atmosphere and gothic romanticism. My illustrations are inspired by a lifelong love of faerie tales and horror films, a fascination with the 19th century, and whatever my current hyperfixation may be. Recent hyperfixations have included Bad Omens, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and various witchy things.
